We're always interested in hearing about related projects, any rallies where you ran into us, collaborations, and other ideas of kinetic assault upon the public.

Krank-Boom-Clank is based out of Santa Rosa, CA, and consists of:
David Farish
Born in the twilight of last century, David spent his early youth scouring the wilderness for the rusty junk, laboring to assemble these items into odd sculptures and corroded mementos. This sensibility for aged found objects and artistic reuse led to an appreciation for traditional crafts such as printmaking and bookbinding at UCSC, Santa Cruz, CA. After schooling, he went on to explore a widening variety of mediums until ultimately finding his way back to rusty metal, this time in the form of junkyard castaways. His attention evolved to focus on industrial arts, creating interactive kinetic sculpture out of common urban refuse. In 2008 he co-founded The Great Handcar Regatta (handcar-regatta.com) and organized the large-scale kinetic sculpture project, "The Hennepin Crawler." Currently he is working on another interactive vehicle comprised largely of found and recycled materials. With the help of his teammates, his mechanical arts language continues to improve.
Dan Kirby
Dan Kirby started listening and going to see underground music in the mid-80s. Within two years dove headlong into booking bands (throughout Northern California) and started up a record label (international distro). Since then he has booked multiple US tours and has toured Japan (with his own band). Currently the music director for The Great Hand Car Regatta (handcar-regatta.com). Went to Burning Man two years ago. Since then has dove headlong into building, tinkering and creating art. Still learning to become a better welder and painter, strong points are brainstorming, grunt work, team work, attendance.
Skye Barnett
Since before he could walk, Skye has been actively creating and building all manner of objects. Throughout his life his material of choice has been wood. With it he has built houses from forty to eight thousand square feet, fine furniture, award winning boats and even the odd art car. With the formation of Krank-Boom-Clank, Skye has embarked on a new creative chapter, one composed of metal. The Hennepin Crawler was his first project with steel as the main material and now he wants more. Skye is happiest when his miters are tight and his welds are smooth.
Clifford Hill
Clifford is currently a graphic and Web designer located in Santa Rosa, CA. With a deep background in visual and craft arts starting from high school to Bachelors degree studies at SFSU. Clifford's evolving interests in design, photography, event production, and industrial arts are a natural extension to K-B-C. He co-curated the art at The Great Handcar Regatta and produced the event's web site (handcar-regatta.com). In addition to the Hennepin Crawler project, Clifford also co-built the large-scale "Ice-Flø" art car for Burning Man 2007.
